This workshop presents the research and intervention components of mindful body awareness. An overview of multiple preliminary studies of Mindful Awareness in Body-Oriented Therapy will be presented as well as applications to trauma recovery, substance use disorder treatment, chronic pain and other chronic health conditions and preventive care. Primary techniques will be demonstrated as well as time for discussion specific to applying key intervention components in various contexts and for various populations.
This workshop is offered in conjunction with the Pacific Northwest National Conference on Advanced Practice in Primary and Acute Care, Oct 4-6, 2012. Registration for the conference is not required to attend this workshop.
Register for two Saturday half-day workshops and receive a discount rate of $295 for both workshops.
