Module Objectives
After completing this module, you will be better able to:
- Discuss the diagnostic criteria used to differentiate bipolar disorder and common medical conditions with similar presentation.
- Describe the indications for and the major side-effects of mood stabilizers used in the treatment of bipolar disorder.
- Identify the indications and side-effects of additional pharmacotherapeutic agents that are used in bipolar disorder.
