Juliet Brewster, BA
Juliet provides program support to the hybrid Wound Management and Medical-Surgical Nursing programs. She also records lectures during live UWCNE conferences for comprehensive online education offerings and serves on the marketing committee.
Outside of work, Juliet enjoys growing, cooking and eating good food, reading, yoga and hiking.
Martha DuHamel, MPH
Prior to her retirement in 2014, Martha provided overall leadership to UWCNE. She currently works part-time on special projects. Martha has been with UWCNE since 1982 "riding the wave of change in healthcare" and working with incredibly talented and dedicated people to provide excellence in lifelong learning for nurses across the practice continuum.
In her spare time, Martha is a hospice volunteer and enjoys playing tennis, hiking and being with friends and family, incuding two adorable granddaughters.
A transplant from the University of California academic system, Corie manages all contracts for the conferences and special events. She also is the liaison for CNE's exhibits, and leads the marketing team for CNE.
Corie enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family. She owns two dogs, Buddie and Maddie.
Cheryl Himmelman, ADN
Cheryl manages the speaker materials for the live conferences.
Stiroh Moly Lang, BS
Stiroh manages the print and media productions for UWCNE. She is also on the marketing committee and helps develop online education courses.
Patricia Merry, BA
Patricia manages the UWCNE website, produces interactive educational media, and works with coproviding partners to interface with the UWCNE learning management system. She created one of the first websites in the School of Nursing.
In her spare time, Patricia is a published novelist, artist, and plays clarinet in her local community band. She has renovated and designed many houses over the years. One of her homes in California was featured on the cable television program "What's My House Worth?"
Patty Morrison, MDiv
Patty manages the Specialty Wound Courses for UWCNE: Wound Management Education Program (WMEP) and Wound Management Fundamentals Course. She supports the students in the program, works with the course faculty, lecturers and the clinical preceptors. The WMEP course is for registered nurses with bacclaureate degrees who would like to become certified wound care nurses (CWCN).
Joan Riesland, BSN, MEd, RN
As program lead and the lead nurse planner, Joan facilitates the development and implementation of in-person conferences and oversees the content of all UWCNE programs for ANCC accreditation. Her work combines her two great loves: nursing and adult education. Throughout her career, while spending time in many countries all over the world working in a wide variety of nursing roles, she has gravitated towards the project and educational side of nursing practice for groups and individuals.
