Juliet records lectures during live UWCNE conferences and develops the recordings into comprehensive online education offerings. She also provides program support to the Wound Management Fundamentals Course and Wound Management Educational Program and serves on the marketing committee.

Outside of work, Juliet enjoys growing, cooking and eating good food, reading, yoga and ultimate frisbee.

Prior to her retirement in 2014, Martha provided overall leadership to UWCNE, a self-sustaining service of the University of Washington School of Nursing. She currently works part-time on special projects. Martha has been with UWCNE since 1982 -- "riding the wave of change in healthcare" and working with incredibly talented and dedicated people to provide excellence in lifelong learning for nurses across the practice continuum. 

In her spare time, Martha is a hospice volunteer and enjoys playing tennis, hiking and being with friends and family, incuding two adorable granddaughters.

A transplant from the University of California academic system, Corie manages all contracts for the conferences and special events. She also is the liaison for CNE's exhibits, and leads the marketing team for CNE. 

Corie enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family. She owns two dogs, Buddie and Maddie.

Stiroh manages the print and media productions for UWCNE. She is also on the marketing committee and helps develop online education courses.

Patricia Merry, BA

Patricia manages the UWCNE website, produces interactive educational media, and works with coproviding partners to interface with the UWCNE learning management system. She created one of the first websites in the School of Nursing.

In her spare time, Patricia is a published novelist, artist, and plays clarinet in her local community band. She has renovated and designed many houses over the years. One of her homes in California was featured on the cable television program "What's My House Worth?"

Patty Morrison, MDiv

Patty coordinates the Wound Management Education Program (UW WMEP) and the Wound Management Fundamentals Course for Continuing Nursing Education. She supports the students in the program, works with the WMEP co-directors, faculty lecturers and the clinical preceptors for the course. The WMEP course is for registered nurses with bacclaureate degrees who would like to become certified wound care nurses (CWCN).

In her spare time, Patty enjoys cycling to places near and far with her husband. She is always planning another "adventure".

Donna is the Executive Director for Continuing Nursing Education. She provides overall leadership in the management of personnel and fiscal operations for the program. She serves on the SoN Executive Team and participates in long range planning for SoN professional development initiatives.

Joan Riesland, BSN, MEd, RN
CE Specialist and Lead Nurse Planner

As the lead nurse planner, Joan facilitates the development and implementation of in- person conferences and oversees the content of programs for ANCC accreditation. Her work combines her two great loves: nursing and adult education. Although she has spent time in various countries all over the world doing a wide variety of nursing, throughout her career she has gravitated to the project and educational side of nursing practice for both groups and individuals. 

“I’m very grateful," Joan says, "for the opportunity to help provide pertinent, practical, stimulating nursing education conferences as part of the UWCNE team.”

Shannon guides the development, implementation and evaluation of UWCNE’s Specialty Programs. Shannon’s special interests lie in actualizing health equities, reducing health disparities and the use of emerging technologies in teaching and learning. 
 
In her free time, Shannon enjoys spending time with friends and family, including her incredibly cute dog, Ralph. Shannon’s other loves are cooking, writing, photography, crafting, live music and spending time outdoors.
