Webinar 2021 | The Challenge of Pain
Pain causes extensive suffering, disability and expenditure of scarce healthcare resources. This conference focuses on the challenge of pain management for healthcare professionals across the healthcare continuum. Regional and national pain specialists present evidence-based strategies for assessing and managing pain in all care settings. Teaching methods include lecture, discussion, case studies and inter-professional dialogue.

We are pleased to offer both an online Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder (includes Buprenorphine Waiver qualifying requirements) and a Pain Management and Opioids: Balancing Risks and Benefits (REMS) training in partnership with American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) on Friday, January 15, 2021 at no additional cost. Space is limited. Registration will be through ASAM and with a separate link. You will not be automatically registered for these workshops with registration for the Challenge of Pain Conference.

The ASAM Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder (TOUD) Course covers all medications and treatments for opioid use disorder and provides 8 hours of education needed for physicians to receive a waiver to prescribe buprenorphine. Nurse practitioners and physician assistants can qualify for the waiver after completing an additional 16 hours training provided by ASAM free of charge.
