Description
There is a continued demand for increased education around palliative care, both from the perspective of nurses and of nurse practitioners. As our population continues to age and people develop serious illnesses, it is strikingly important to educate care providers on the importance and provision of palliative care. Registered Nurses deliver most of the palliative care in the nation, yet few actually recognize that the care they are providing is palliative in nature. This hybrid virtual offering will be offered half live and synchronously online, and half asynchronously online. Participants will learn the fundamentals of providing palliative care for all patients.
VIRTUAL FORMAT
This conference will be hosted virtually in two parts:
- Live synchronous sessions via Zoom Webinar: Four lectures (8:00am - 1:30pm)
- On-demand sessions: Four lectures to view at your own pace
Target Audience
Nurses new to palliative care, who are caring for patients receiving palliative care, and who are hoping to enhance and expand their education on palliative care. The content will be applicable to RNs and APRNs, with pharmacology hours offered to the prescribing provider. The content will also be applicable to clinical nurse specialists, nurses, physicians, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other healthcare professional in all settings who are interested in palliative care.
