Educators, administrators, preceptors, staff development educators, clinical nurse specialists, nurse managers, staff nurses, and healthcare providers in all clinical and academic settings involved with the education of nurses.

Description

This conference is a forum for healthcare educators to share innovative and practical educational ideas for use in academic and clinical settings. Whether you are an experienced or novice educator, you will come away with strategies and solutions to expand and improve your professional practice. Join us and hear from a truly stellar lineup of talented, renowned, and diverse Nurse Leaders and Educators.  Program methods include lecture, discussion, case studies and interactive participation.

Exhibiting Format

Silver: $600/$300 Nonprofit agency

The Nurse Educators virtual classroom is an asynchronous remote program. All attendees will be able to access the program starting on September 17, 2020. The exhibitions will happen asynchronously allowing your content to be available for a year after the conference date. Your content will be alongside attendees handouts and evaluations. We will also incentivize attendees to visit exhibitor’s digital booths.

How will attendees know about exhibitors?

  • The exhibitor portal will be available alongside their handouts and mandatory evaluation
  • A mention of exhibitors will be made during the welcome speech
  • Between speakers a screen will show all exhibitor logos and urge attendees to view
  • Exhibitors will be featured in all attendee packets along with speaker info
  • There will be a giveaway lottery to anyone who has visited and given their contact info to the majority of exhibitors

KEY NOTE SPEAKER

Sofia Aragon, JD, BSN, RN

Sofia earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Washington in 1994; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Seattle University in 1997; and her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University-Chicago School of Law in 2002. She holds a Washington State Registered Nurse license and is a member of the Washington State Bar Association. Currently Sofia serves as executive director for the Washington Center for Nursing. Prior to joining WCN, Aragon was a senior governmental affairs advisor at the Washington State Nurses Association. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Seattle University College of Nursing and as a legislative externship site supervisor at the Seattle University School of Law. Other experience includes working at the WA Department of Health Community and Family Health Division as the legislative and policy manager; as the contracts manager with DOH’s HIV Client Services; and direct-care nursing positions with Providence Medical Center and the Rainier Park Medical Clinic in Seattle. Aragon also serves as the chair of the Governor’s Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs; as president of the Washington chapter of the American Association of Nurse Attorneys; and is a member of Filipino Lawyers of Washington.
