Target Audience

The series is designed for healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nuse practitioners, physical and occupational therapist, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists and other interested professionals.

Objectives for Learning Outcomes

  • Screen and assess older adults for unhealthy alcohol use and alcohol use disorders.
  • Describe the indications for and pharmacology of alcohol use disorder medications.
  • Identify opioid use disorders in patients for whom chronic opioid therapy is prescribed.
