Legal and Ethical Issues (Mentored CE)

This module will give you important information on how, by understanding your scope of practice, you can find peace of mind when faced with complicated legal and ethical situations.

Objectives for Learning Outcomes

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be better able to:

  1. Describe one way a nurse could be charged with battery.
  2. Define tort law.
  3. Answer this True or False question: Knowing and following hospital policies and procedures decreases the likelihood that you will be sued by a patient.
