Objectives for Learning Outcomes
After completing this session, you will be able to:
- Describe normal cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and circulatory flow and how they are assessed when evaluating adults with cardiovascular complaints.
- Discuss the main risk factors for development of cardiovascular disease and strategies for prevention of risk factor development.
- Explain the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnostic tools and management strategies for clients with selected cardiovascular abnormalities: hypertension, coronary artery disease, angina, acute coronary syndromes, heart failure and shock.
