After completing this session, you will be able to:

1. Describe normal cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and circulatory flow and how they are assessed when evaluating adults with cardiovascular complaints. 
2. Discuss the main risk factors for development of cardiovascular disease and strategies for prevention of risk factor development. 
3. Explain the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnostic tools and management strategies for clients with selected cardiovascular abnormalities: hypertension, coronary artery disease, angina, acute coronary syndromes, heart failure and shock.
