Objectives for Learning Outcomes
After completing this session, you will be able to:
- "Step back" from your clinical setting and describe actions you can take to reduce patient harm through improved infection prevention and control.
- Have the tools to improve quality of care, shorten length of stay and perhaps save a life by asking each day, "Are these lines, drains and foley catheters still needed today?"
- Ask what steps can my patient and I take to lower their risk of a surgical site infection?
