Nursing Grand Rounds | MERS, Chikungunya, Dengue and Zika
Just a Plane Ride Away
"We live in a global village," says Dr. Chris Baliga, "everything really is just a plane ride away." Many travelers to tropical climates are worried they could bring home something more than their suntans and souvenirs. This module addresses viral diseases that have made recent news headlines, sharing advice for pre-travel counseling as well as information about the current CDC guidelines for prevention and assessment of the Zika virus.
The lecture was recorded April 2016 by Continuing Nursing Education at the 27th Annual Pacific NW Ambulatory Care Nursing Conference. Teaching methods include video, audio and downloadable handouts.
This course will be available through April 2019.
