This course presents transgender specific care, recognizing the benefits and risks of using hormones for medically supervised gender transition, access resources to access with management of cross-gender hormone use, and list ways to create a culturally responsive medical practice for gender diverse people.
The course was recorded in May 2012 at a conference provided by Continuing Nursing Education at the University of Washington School of Nursing. Teaching methods include video, audio and handouts.
Publish Date: June 21, 2012. This course will be available for three years from this date.
Target Audience
Nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurses and healthcare professionals in all settings.
