Several new migraine prophylactic agents are now on the market, targeting the calcitonin gene related peptide (CGRP) or CGRP receptor. This module will give an overview of the clinical pharmacology of CGRP agents and considerations for use in migraine management.

- Discuss the overview of traditional acute and prophylactic treatments.
- Describe CGRP and its role in migraine and as a target for prophylaxis.
