Podcast | Nursing Today | S2:E1 | Does Healthcare Make Us Healthy?

Exploring wealth inequality as the greatest determinant of health.

Dr. Perez’ philosophy of care is that health is a human right for all and that the work of primary care clinicians is to ensure the health and well-being of people in the United States. In this podcast, he speaks about clinic- and community-based interventions that address the root causes of health inequity, not only in individual practice, but all the way to the state, national and global level.

The lecture was recorded April 25, 2019 at the annual Ambulatory Care Conference. Teaching methods include audio and downloadable handouts.
