Certification Preparation for Registered Nurses
The UW School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Provider is also approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #07218. Individuals who complete this program will earn 130 contact hours (77 in classroom/laboratory sessions, 5 in observational sessions, and 48 in preceptored clinical sessions). Clock hour equivalents are 108 total hours (64 in didactic/laboratory sessions, 4 in observation, and 40 in preceptored clinical sessions.)
University Quarter Credits:
The registrant will be enrolled in Nursing 540, Topics in Nursing, a fully accredited University of Washington graduate course. Students will earn 6 quarter credits. Separate application to the university is not required.
