UWCNE just received the second quarter score report from the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB). Results showed a 90.48% pass rate for first time test takers (n=21) from the UWCNE Wound Management Education Program (WMEP). The national average was 77.25%.

Pass rates of WMEP students who took the certification exam for the first time.

We are very proud of our WMEP students and this valuable program.

Since 2002, WMEP has prepared nurses for careers as a Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN). The program requires six weeks of online learning and three weeks of on-site education and clinical experience in Seattle. WMEP graduates earn six graduate-level quarter credits and 132 continuing education contact hours. To be eligible for WMEP, an applicant must be a registered nurse with a baccalaureate degree.
